September 21, 2010 ~ Singing on New Release!

Some of you may know I get to sing all over town in fancy places (Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Concert Hall, etc) as a part of the world class Los Angeles Master Chorale. At the top of the summer (beFORE the tour, beFORE Baltimore . . .), we met at the acoustically dreamy WD Concert Hall with it's HUGE pipe organ and recorded an entire CD of the music of young Nico Muhly for DECCA Records, entitled A Good Understanding. I downloaded it ahead of time from iTunes, and now it is officially in stores nationwide! More importantly, it is GORGEOUS and provocative. Check out samples on iTunes and Amazon.com and purchase from anywhere!
August 18, 2010 ~ Baltimore Soundbytes
Thank you BALTIMORE! What a beautiful time we had, culminating in one full-house love fest at the Patterson Theater. Check out these photos if you couldn't make it:

Before we made it to the stage, we had some RADIO LOVE at WYPR and WTMD. Listen to the WYPR Maryland Morning interview with Tom Hall anytime! at their site here:

And here's the full WTMD interview with Erik Deatherage. Can you tell we were having fun?
(It will take some time to load. Click play and when it stops, pause it & give it some time to travel through space to your machine ...)
Next up, some quality Los Angeles time. Stay tuned for shows!
Still haven't bought your copy of The Fall? Find it on cdbaby today!
They're going like hotcakes they tell me!
July 22, 2010 ~ Touring
Just back from singing lead for the exciting, electric & madly talented 11-piece Afrobeat band from San Francisco known as APHRODESIA, I find myself wanting more road time! Watch the Facebook page for photos & news on that.
Fortunately, in less than 2 weeks' time, I head back to BALTIMORE for a highly-anticipated show with the ever-talented Abby Mott at the Patterson Theater in Highlandtown. Entitled THE GALS COME BACK we'll regale you with stories from afar and charming banter... we tend to have a lot of fun together! Can't make it? We'll have TWO radio interviews (WYPR with Tom Hall; WTMD with Erik Deatherage) to convince you you wish you could make it. Joining us on stage is The Brendan Hines to show you what Charm really means.
And all this in CHARM CiTY!
I'll post radio info as we know air dates. Thanks for staying in touch!

November 19, 2009 ~ My ukulele will be heard!
EXTRA EXTRA! Read all about it. I'm changing the name of the record. Just like that. To what?! That's to be determined yet. Have an idea? Tell it to me!
Also, I'm putting on a last minute addition to the record, a one Horrible Things by (the) Brendan Hines. Dylan Cooper's producing it, me on uke, voices (in my head), and bicycle parts. That's right. It'll be sweet, even if the song tries not to be (it still is).

The recording process is finally finished! So exciting, and big thanks will continue to be delivered to all the amazing musicians who played with me since we started recording 1 year ago!
Mixing is al...most complete. I'm having Wrong Time of Year and Here to You RE-mixed through an analog console so that through 'n through this record will sound GOOD. Warm and old-timey, pull a chair up by the fire, & be careful not to burn your tongue on that hot cocoa TASTY.
Projected finish date is December, 2009. Vague, right? Give me a minute, the details will start falling into place.
